Final Fantasy XI Mmorpg Fun
You may have grown up with characters like Cloud Strife, Sepiroth, Tifa, Squall Lionheart, Yuna, and tastes. These are the characters have been integrated into popular culture, thanks to the wide success enjoyed by the franchise that gave rise to them. In fact, the Final Fantasy series is nothing definitive. It is permanent succession of wonderfully prepared and genre-last-minute games that has captured the hearts of millions and millions of people around the world.
The legend that gave birth to Final Fantasy XI
Let's examine the facts. Every time a Final Fantasy game is released in Japan, his country stops. Students miss school. Urban professionals file for vacation or sick leave. Long lines form outside retail stores. And the whole nation is committed to a perpetual race to who will get to finish the first game.
The same success was repeated in the U.S. since the launch of Final Fantasy VII for the PlayStation original. It was the first time the U.S. players were introduced to polygonal characters in a role playing game, and announced the start of the U.S. love affair with the mistress franchise.
But the previous games had limited playing time. Once you defeat the final boss, the game ends and the credit rolls.
The most latest incarnation of the series, Final Fantasy XI, deviates from that. It takes the form of a massively multiplayer online role playing game (MMORPG) where players participate in a persistent world that will never end. In fact, FINAL FANTASY XI is the fantasy that will never end.
Final Fantasy XI: not only its regular MMORPG
You have past two and half years since the original version of Final Fantasy XI, along with its expansion pack to Rise of the Zilart, for the personal computer, but the game does not show signs of slowing, despite strong competition from new suppliers such as World of Warcraft MMORPG, Star Wars Galaxies and Everquest II. The reason for this is simple. FINAL FANTASY XI is the only MMORPG that has launched two platforms. Playstation II owners have the option to participate in this MMORPG gaming world through their consoles. And soon Xbox 360 owners will also be given the opportunity. The result? More players are expected to join in the coming months, making the MMORPG world being dynamic, diverse and exciting.
If you are a veteran MMORPG campaign, you might find the experience of Final Fantasy XI as completely unconventional. First, the control scheme uses the mouse and keyboard for movement, which is very different from the simple point and click systems using other MMORPG. Second Instead, other aspects of the game have been simplified, and you will have access to the best of leveling up that other MMORPG systems afford. This is good and bad. Well because customization can take hours in most MMORPG systems, which can be towed. Bad, because some players prefer total control over how their characters develop.
These aside, the MMORPG world of Vana'diel promises to offer a wealth of fascinating adventures for the player. With nearly a dozen classes and employment of a world at the crossroads of magic, warfare, and technology, and with the support of the most successful RPG developer in history, Final Fantasy XI is an experience that define this age of MMORPG games.
Final Fantasy XI Worth $ 12.95 per month?
Square Interactive, a division of Square Enix, charges $ 12.95 per month of game and an additional $ 1 for each new character created in the same account. In relative terms, Final Fantasy XI is one of the most expensive MMORPG today day.
The question is not really a question of how. Rather, it is a question of whether the experience worthwhile.
The answer is a resounding yes!
Final Fantasy XI offers a different flavor to your usual MMORPG style. The difference is as large as the U.S. developed an RPG and a game developed Japan. Japan is home to console RPGs, while America is where Queen's PC role-playing games. Both genres offer a diverse experience. While Some people prefer the feel and atmosphere of the PC role-playing games, a lot really enjoy console RPGs better.
Final Fantasy XI has the RPG feel, which is quite an achievement for an MMORPG. It's definitely one of a kind, and is proud of its uniqueness in a world populated by different MMORPG programs that come in different skins but offer the same experience.
And with its expansion, recently published, Chains of Promathia and the Treasures of Ath Urhgan on the horizons, Final Fantasy XI consolidated as an investment very much worth it. It is truly an MMORPG that has and will, stand the test of time.
