Shopping and Birding in Miami
South Florida and Miami in particular is a magnet that attracts buyers from South and Central America and the Caribbean. It seems as if every neighborhood of the city is a shopping center and there is variety in the malls. There are malls, regular malls, shopping centers. Shopping Miami is the year, but seems to reach its peak on the 3rd Friday in November which is the day immediately following the Thanksgiving holiday U.S.. Known as "Black Friday" of the hordes of shoppers are expected to retail in the nonprofit unit black (). Black Friday is a day of deep discounts This marks the beginning of the holiday shopping season. In some malls starts at midnight, while in others the shopping begins at 5am. As soon as the stores open the hordes descend.
South Florida is also a magnet for migratory birds and Neotropical. Located along the Atlantic Flyway, Florida, is in the bird migration route from their summer breeding areas in northern and central U.S. to their places of winter in Central and South America and the Caribbean. For some species Florida is their winter home. An abundance of ponds, lakes and streams means that Florida is especially good for waterfowl.
This magnetic force two-way, for Thanksgiving can combine two passions, music and bird watching. Or husbands can accompany their wives to the mall and women's shops, while the husband's dedication to bird watching. Dolphin Mall located at 12th Street NW exit the highway in Florida is a good location. Mall has a great selection of shops with a wide variety of items. The center also has two ponds along 12th Street near the shopping center parking lot. Among birds that can be seen in ponds are Anhingas, coots, herons and Snowy Egrets.
At other malls, the desire to introduce the green in a jungle of asphalt and concrete has resulted in the trees around and within parking lots. These trees in turn have attracted several species of birds. Thus simply wandering the parking lots gives you the opportunity to see different bird species.
Even if you do not come close to the malls on Black Friday, is easy to fall into birding in South Florida. The numerous lakes and ponds in residential areas attract birds particularly waterfowl. Among waterfowl Florida is more easily seen Double-crested Cormorant, Pied-billed Grebe, Common Moorhen, Green (Green-backed) Heron and the most common waterfowl in the suburbs Florida areas, Muscovy ducks. The Intracoastal Waterway and other channels along the highways and roads are also good places to detect bird life and is easy to stop at an attractive place. For the more dedicated birdwatchers in South Florida has an abundance of parks state and national.
So the next time you are planning a trip to South Florida, remember, you can combine shopping and watching birds.
