Cement floor seals are not all equal
Many cement floor seals are saturated fatty acids absorbed in the soil pores. These stamps floor saturating type may work well in some but not all, situations. Looking through a microscope can reveal how porous a concrete floor can be. Saturating rate stamps immersion in the pores and then harden, so pores level with the surrounding concrete. This type of seal helps to reduce dust and wear on the floor, providing a greater surface for the wheels and foot traffic to rest. The problems, however, may arise later, when the soil is wet, causing the washing saturants cement and allowing fluids to penetrate and dissolve the cement.
In contrast to saturating type seals, stamps flooring create a barrier between the ground and fluids, wheels and foot traffic to the impact. The use of stamps flooring is essential in environments where chemicals, diesel or oils are likely contact with the ground. Laminates also create a barrier that prevents wear of friction that applies to the underlying concrete. Epoxy or urethane laminated to create a durable all without membrane, or plate, which insulates the concrete surface contact with machinery and fluids. The coating can be reapplied as necessary, a process which is considerably less expensive than repairing a worn or damaged concrete floor.
Unlike the saturation type coatings, epoxy floor seals are resistant to moisture, so as compatible with the moisture in wetlands and flooding. These qualities are the result of catalysis that suffers when applied epoxy, a plastic processing not liquefy again if resubmitted its solvent transport. Flat saturating the seals are carried in water or solvent bases that evaporate to leave the goal. If these companies are reintroduced to the soil, saturating seal may dissolve back into a liquid and washing. In contrast, water and most solvents have no effect surfaces sealed with epoxy. Epoxy flooring is happening in the workplace and produces no seams. When there are interruptions in the surface coating, the result is a membrane continuous seals what is above what is below. These epoxy surfaces have been used in food processing plants for over 50 years. Mold, fungi and other contaminants can not penetrate the epoxy membrane and easily washed.
Preparation is everything in the application of finishes. A surface can expected to remain in place only if the substrate is permanent. It is well known that the new concrete dust during the early years, while dormant began concrete on the surface, rubs or expelled. These latent prints must be removed before quality epoxy coating or coatings are applied to move with the latent as breaking with the substrate.
