How does an external hard drive work?
I only have a 80GB hard drive and just found out that I only have 8 GB of free space on my laptop, someone told me the other day that should get an external hard drive, and I just wanted to know how they work. Do you just save the information in them like a USB stick? It was also to be able to put all my music on this disk and then when I plug in my iPod, music can be loaded on my iPod from the external drive? Thanks in advance!
Everything you say is correct. All you have to do about your music is that you need to copy everything to the external drive, then added back to iTunes via its new location on the external drive, then it would all work as it always had.
