Sports carnival bigger Asia – China 2010 games
The XVI Asian Games will be held in Guangzhou, China, November 12, 2010-November 27, 2010. Guangzhou is the second city in China to host the Games after Beijing in 1990. 41 events are scheduled to be contested, making the most of the events to be ever competed in the Asian Games history.
Symbol of Asian Games
Five sports goats, called "Le Yangyang," will serve as mascots for the 2010 Asian Games in Guangzhou. The five goats, a Xiang, a he, The UK, Yi and Le Yangyang, is a game in Guangzhou's nickname, "City of Goats". This is a stylized form of a ram / goat in the Chinese tradition is a blessing of the animals that can take some good luck to people. It is also a representation of the host city – Guangzhou is called the "City of Rams" or "City of the five rams. The design of the mascot comes from a legend about five immortals who took five goats to Guangzhou, each with an ear of corn in his mouth. There, the immortal prayed for an end to famine, and then flew into the sky as the five goats became fossils.
2010 Sport Games
Officially there are 42 sports, among which 28 are recommended in the Olympics, while the rest added as unique to the Asian Games. Cricket, DanceSport, Dragon Boat, and Weiqi will debut in this game, while Bodybuilding fell because of the controversy during the 2006 Asian Games trial.
Cricket a new entry in the Asian Games
The Asian Games 16 in Guangzhou, China will have cricket, for the first time. The proposal to include cricket was approved by the Olympic Council of Asia General Assembly in Kuwait recently. The four test countries in Asia are committed to send their best teams available, although like everyone else, but Bangladesh have scheduled home series at the time the event takes place, the strength of the teams of force can not be complete. Cricket has presented at various sporting events before. South Pacific Games cricket has had as a discipline for a number of years, and will meet again this year, but this is the highest profile events of its kind since the Commonwealth Games 1998.
