What are the best Nintendo DS games?

I'm buying my boyfriend a DS game for her birthday, but I'm not sure what would be the best. Some of the games you have to really like is the search puzzles, brain age academy, pokemon pearl, and a computer game that you like World of Warcraft. one can think of games similar to those kind of games could enjoy? I was thinking maybe Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney or sunset from the hotel: Room 215. Does anyone recommend one of these?

Pheonix Wright is very fun, especially because you can yell "Objection!" into the microphone. It's a terrific. :]
